New Fibre Based Horse Feeds At Abbott & Co we have over 100 years of experience in the forage industry, with clients ranging from the single horse owner through to world champions. Based on this experience we have now developed a range of affordable fibre based feeds. Why Fibre? Horses have evolved as a fibre digesting herbivore. Every part of their physiology and behaviour is adapted to ensure that they consume and digest fibre, from the shape of their mouths to the development of the hind gut. Feeding a high fibre diet ensures that every part of the digestive tract is kept healthy and the horse is allowed to eat like a horse. How does it do this?
